Personal Care Worker (PCW) / Continuing Care Assistant (CCA)

Location: Various communities across Nova Scotia 
Employment Type: Full-time | Part-time | Casual 
Schedule: Days, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts available 

About the Role 

As a Personal Care Worker / Continuing Care Assistant, you will provide non-medical personal care and daily living support to clients in their homes. 

​

  • Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting  

  • Support mobility, transfers, and safe positioning 

  • Provide companionship and emotional support 

  • Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping 

  • Offer medication reminders (non-administration) 

  • Observe and report changes in client condition 

  • Respect client dignity, privacy, and cultural preferences 

Key Responsibilities 

​

  • PCW or CCA certificate (preferred) or equivalent experience   

  • Current First Aid & CPR 

  • Vulnerable Sector Check / Criminal Record Check 

  • Reliable transportation (preferred)  

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
